**RAIN CAPS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ACTIVE RADON SYSTEMS**

New radon mitigation standards show rain caps are unnecessary and OFTEN DANGEROUS for active systems.  Consider replacing your rain cap with a critter/exhaust guard.

Rain caps or U Bends restrict airflow and–in most instances–direct radon gas back toward ground level.  Airflow from active radon systems is great enough to keep out rain even during torrential downpours.  Rain caps are only for use with RRNC systems, which will not be activated due to low radon levels.  In every instance a vent guard or an exhaust guard are better choices

Exhaust guard with rain cap feature.  Used to keep debris  and “critters” out of non-activated radon mitigation systems.  Designed for Schedule 40 pipe.
