Radon Measurement & Diagnostic
Measure radon levels with a short term test kit or continuous radon monitor. Short term charcoal canisters are the most common. The EPA recommends using a charcoal test kit every two years to ensure the radon level in your home is below actionable levels. Digital radon monitors are becoming more prevalent, some–like the AirThings Wave–have a companion smartphone app to measure radon levels.
It is important to be impeccable in your fan sizing and measurement as well. Using micro-manometers a trained mitigator can measure a home’s pressure field extension and find the proper radon fan. Fantech’s Pressure Field Extension Diagnostic Kit (PFEDK) is an all in one solution for radon fan sizing.
